Royal Albion Hotel

Location. The Royal Albion Hotel is housed in two interconnecting Regency buildings, located on the city's seafront, adjacent to the Old Steine and war memorial, and directly opposite the beach and Brighton Pier. London Gatwick Airport is 31 miles from the hotel, around 30 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. Guests can relax with draught beers, hot drinks and light meals in the bar, which features a wide-screen television showing sporting events and extends into a contemporary, conservatory-style side lounge with views of the pier. During fine weather, guests can take in sea views from the first-floor terrace. The hotel houses seven meeting rooms, the largest of which can hold up to 80 people. Staff at the 24-hour front desk are on hand to exchange currency and provide round-the-clock room service.

Guests of the Royal Albion can dine in the restaurant which offers sea views and serves buffet breakfasts and traditional British fare, including Cottage Pie, Gammon Steak and Fillet of Cod at lunch and dinner.

Please note: Scaffolding has been erected at the front of the hotel and will remian there while the windows are painted. This is due to end by t he end of January 2009. After this, renovation work will continue inside the building until further notice.

National Express bus services operate between the airport and a stop 100 metres from the hotel; a return fare costs approximately GBP 10. Regular train services run directly from the airport to Brighton train station, one kilometre from the hotel. A taxi from the airport will cost approximately GBP 50; a taxi from the train station will cost around GBP 5. All prices are subject to change.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow signs for the M23, heading southbound. Continue onto the A23 and carry on for 19 miles. On approaching Brighton town centre, turn left into Oxford Place, and then turn right into Ditchling Road. After around 800 metres, turn left onto the A23 St Peter's Place. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit onto Old Steine. The hotel is located at the southern edge of the green, opposite the pier.
