Location.  The contemporary Fox Apartments are located on Royal Victoria Docks, near the River Thames in East London, England. The ExCel exhibition centre is 80 metres away. Canary Wharf, with its shopping centre and sleek high-rise buildings, is two miles from the hotel, as is the Docklands Museum. Central London is six miles, and London City Airport (LCY) is two miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features.  Converted from an old tobacco factory, the water-front Fox Apartments have been sympathetically modernised. The furnished terrace has views over the marina.

The Fox at ExCel Bar and Restaurant at the hotel features the original exposed beams, bare brick walls and steel supports. Art on the walls tells the story of London's Docklands. The lounge area has sofas and the menu is modern-European. Guests can start each day with a complimentary breakfast. There is also a coffee shop.

From London City Airport (LCY):
Distance to Fox Apartments is two miles, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there.  Located within the airport terminal is the Docklands Light Railway station (DLR), which departs regularly for Canning Town, 10 minutes, Canary Wharf, 14 minutes, and Bank, 22 minutes. At Canning Town, visitors should take the Jubilee line to connect to London Underground (Tube) services. Tickets cost 4 GBP for a single, but a one-day travel pass is more economical and practical for multiple journeys. The airport is also served by local buses and London black taxis. Taxis cost approximately 12 GBP to Canary Wharf, 20 GBP to London city centre and 25 GBP to the West End. Prices are all subject to change. The hotel has complimentary covered parking.

Getting around.  Fox Apartments are on the Royal Victoria Docks, 80 metres from ExCel. The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London.
