Driving Directions - Relais Santa Croce

Although the airport is very close to Florence, traffic can be bad in the city, so guests are advised to allow at least 40 minutes for travel. The airport is a short taxi ride from the hotel, costing approximately 20 EUR. Alternatively, it is also possible to take the half- hourly bus, which transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence. Guests can either take a taxi or bus no 14 and get off at stop number three on Via Ghibellina, a short distance from the hotel. Bus service tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis - one-hour, two-hour or 24-hour tickets. Traffic is restricted in the city centre and parking is expensive, so the centre of Florence is best explored on foot.
Driving directions: From the airport, drive take the Viali di circonvallazione in the direction of the city centre. Take Spartaco Lavagnini around Fortezza de Basso, then take the Piazza della Libertà, then Viale Mateotti, then Piazza Beccaria and finally, Viale Giovine Italia. Drive to the end of the Viale and turn right into Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia. Continue along Corso dei Tintori and at the traffic light turn right. Carry on straight and after 100 metres you will pass Piazza Santa Croce on your right. 20 metres further on, at the next traffic light, Turn right into Via Ghibellina and the hotel is a further hundred metres along.
