Driving Directions - Grand Hotel Villa Cora

The airport is a short taxi ride from town (costing 13-16 EUR) although it is also possible to take the half-hourly bus, which transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, three kilometres from the hotel. Taxis from the airport can be taken directly to the hotel and cost approximately 25 EUR. Buses service the city centre; tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis: one-hour, two-hour or 24-hour tickets. Traffic is restricted in the city centre and parking is expensive, so the centre of Florence is best explored on foot. Taxis wait outside Stazione di Santa Maria Novella.
Driving directions: From the airport, drive in the direction of Vialli-Lungarni. Proceed on to Viale Guidoni, Via di Novole, Viale Redi and Piazza di Porta al Prato. Cross the Ponte Alla Vittoria Bridge and continue in the direction of Siena. Continue along Piazza Pier Vettori, Viale Francesco Petrarca to Porta Romana Square. Turn into Viale Machiavelli and drive uphill until arriving at the hotel.
