Location.  The Hotel Spa Playacanaria Gran Confort is located in Puerto de la Cruz, on the island of Tenerife, Spain. The resort centre is two kilometres away and Lake Martianez is three kilometres away.
Hotel Features.  Set in vast tropical gardens, the Hotel Spa Playacanaria is housed in a modern Mediterranean complex. There is an outdoor pool with water slides, and a jetted tub. The hotel also offers tennis courts, a fitness room, and a games area with mini-golf, archery, and rifle shooting. The Acquaplaya wellness centre provides massages and a range of beauty treatments, and further amenities include a naturist's sunbathing area, and wireless Internet access.

The Hotel Spa Playacanaria houses the informal El Drago buffet restaurant, with a terrace area, the Teide Cafeteria, and the Orotava bar. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily. The all-inclusive rate incorporates breakfast, lunch, dinner, and both alcoholic and soft drinks between 8 a.m and 12 p.m. The rate also includes tapas between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The full-board rate includes breakfast and a buffet lunch and dinner, and does not include drinks. The half-board rate includes breakfast and a buffet lunch or dinner, and does not include drinks. Drinks from the beach club and in-room minibars, parking, room service, and telephone calls, are not included in any rate plan.

There is a kid's club for 4 to 12 year olds and a teen club for 13 to 18 year olds. The entertainment team offer daily and evening programs.

Guestrooms.  The 248 air-conditioned guestrooms have Mediterranean-style decor in earth tones, and extend to balconies. From Tenerife North Los Rodeos Airport (TFN):
Distance to the Hotel Spa Playacanaria is 30 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there.  Numerous buses run from the airport to Santa Cruz. Taxis cost approximately 12 EUR to Santa Cruz and 23 EUR to Puerto de la Cruz. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around.  Many of the resorts and towns of Tenerife are easy to explore on foot. Taxis are inexpensive, and the main resorts are linked by a bus network. A car is needed for exploring more of the island.

Driving directions. From the airport, take the highway to Puerto de la Cruz.
Take the first exit for Puerto de la Cruz towards Martinez.
Head towards the Botanical Garden.
Follow signs for the hotel.
