Named after the king who commissioned its construction in 1928, Hotel Alfonso XIII was originally built to house heads of state and high- ranking guests of the 1929 Great Ibero-American Exhibition. This palatial property reflects Mudejar Revival architecture with marble floors, wood-paneled ceilings, Moorish lamps, ceramic hand-painted tiles and antique furnishings.
