Location.  The seven-storey Medina Azahara hotel is located in Torremolinos, Spain, 500 metres from the busy shopping area of San Miguel Street and 700 metres from the beach. The nearest station is 500 metres away and Malaga Airport (AGP) is five kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features.  Comprised of two properties, the Medina Azahara is a modern complex combining Andalusian and Arabic decor. Amenities include two outdoor swimming pools (one for kids) and a sun terrace. Currency exchange and complimentary newspapers are available at the 24-hour front desk where multilingual staff can assist with car hire and trip arrangements.

The hotel restaurant offers buffet dining, featuring a selection of Mediterranean dishes in a bright, contemporary atmosphere. Drinks and light snacks are available at Los Arcos Bar and a complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning.

An entertainment programme offers a schedule of activities in high season. Water sports offered at the nearby beach include surfing, scuba diving, boating and game fishing. The beach also has a playground for children. There are tennis courts and a golf driving range in the vicinity. Bicycles, scooters and horses can be hired nearby.

Driving Directions - Medina Azahara

From Malaga Airport (AGP):
Distance to Medina Azahara is 5 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Trains run between the airport train station and Torremolinos. There is a taxi rank outside the airport terminal. Fares are approximately 20 EUR to Torremolinos. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. Torremolinos is easy to explore on foot. Driving is not recommended in the town centre, however, hiring a car is useful for exploring the coast and locations further inland. There is limited transport between the resorts, which are quite far apart.
