Location. The Old Fort Inn, located in the secluded setting of vintage summer estates in Kennebunkport, Maine, is just a few blocks from the oceanfront and the Kennebunk River. A quiet road leads from the inn to Kennebunkport beaches, the rugged Atlantic coast, and Dock Square in the center of the city. One quarter-mile down the street is the Wehannet Golf Club, a private golf club which welcomes public play on a limited basis.
Hotel Features. Hidden away on 15 landscaped wooded acres, Old Fort Inn has its own private tennis court and a heated outdoor pool surrounded by lounge chairs and patio tables. A large sitting room has enormous beam weathered pine walls and a massive brick fireplace. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning in the lodge area or the enclosed heated porch. Refreshments are served in the afternoon.

Guestrooms. The guestrooms at this bed and breakfast are located in a turn-of-the-century carriage house fashioned of red brick and stone. Tastefully decorated with wall coverings and fine fabrics, these standard rooms, mini-suites, and suites are furnished with antiques and have four-poster and canopy beds with down comforters. Private bathrooms, telephones, air conditioning, cable television, and an enclosed deluxe wet bar are featured in each room. Some rooms are equipped with gas fireplaces, heated tile on the bathroom floors and spa tubs.

Expert Tip. The inn has its own antique shop with decoys, primitives, china, cut glass, advertising items and many decorator accessories available for purchase.

Turn left onto Rte 35 and continue for 5.5 miles.
