Location. Village by the Sea is an all-suite hotel and conference center conveniently located in the town of Wells on the southern coast of Maine. The hotel is sited on eleven acres bordering the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve and tidal salt marsh, making it a great spot to observe the Great Blue Herons that dwell nearby. The suites enjoy easy access to miles of sandy beaches and rocky coastline, factory outlets, antique shops, seafood restaurants, golf courses, whale watching spots, and deep sea fishing charters.

Expert Tip. The Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, less than three miles from the property, features seven miles of trails that wind through salt marshes, woodlands and barrier beaches. Start out going northwest on Airline Avenue toward Newington Street.
Turn right onto Newington Street.
Turn left onto New Hampshire Avenue.
Turn right onto Pease Boulevard.
Turn right onto ramp.
Merge onto NH-16 S/Spaulding Turnpike.
Enter next roundabout and take 1st exit.
Take Interstate 95 North (Portions toll crossing into Maine). Take the ME-109/ME-9/EXIT 19 toward Wells/Sanford.
Turn left onto Sanford Road/ME-9/ME-109.
Turn right onto Post Road/US-1/Blue Star Memorial Highway.
