Location. The Southmoreland on the Plaza Bed & Breakfast is located in Kansas City, Mo., two blocks from the Country Club Plaza, a historic arts, shopping and entertainment district. More than 180 shops and restaurants, the J.C. Nicols Fountain and the Seville Tower are offered at the plaza. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is one block away. The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and the Kansas City Art Institute are four blocks from the property. Features. This Colonial Revival home, built in 1913, features a courtyard with tables and market umbrellas, a waterfall and pond, and a barbecue area. Expert Tip. The inn's Carriage House is named after prominent landscape artist George Kessler, who designed the city's famous parks. The inn's namesake, Southmoreland Park, is adjacent to the inn.
