Location. Overlooking Newport Harbor, directly across from the renowned harbor and waterfront restaurants on Bowen's Wharf, the Inn on Long Wharf is located in Newport, R.I. The resort is convenient to area attractions including the Newport Art Museum and the International Tennis Hall of Fame, both under one mile from the property. Spring Street, the main thoroughfare of the Historic Hill district is also less than one mile from the property. The district is home to the "cottages", summer mansions constructed by the extremely wealthy during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Fantastic shopping, dining, and entertainment options are available, with Thames Street hosting the most numerous and popular venues in town.
Hotel Features. The indoor section of the indoor/outdoor pool features a trickling waterfall and a jetted tub. Another tub is located outdoors and the resort features a health club, sauna and a private surround-sound movie theater. A recreation director is on duty and tour assistance, business services and safe-deposit boxes are available. There is a children's activity room, a video rental library and a barbeque pavilion for guest use.

Expert Tip. Just over two miles from the inn, The Breakers mansion belonged to the Vanderbilt family and boasts original furnishings and a massive cubed-hall sheathed in marble. The Cliff Walk, a 3.5 mile walkway, borders the back lawn of the Breakers and many of the other Newport mansions.

Guests must check in at the Long Wharf Resort and Inn at 142 Long Wharf, Newport, RI - From the T.F. Green Airport: From the airport, follow signs to I-95 South and continue to Route 4 South at Exit 9 (Newport/Narragansett exit). Route 4 becomes Route 1 at the curve. Take the first exit (Exit 3 Newport/Jamestown) and follow Route 138 East. Stay on Route 138 to go over Jamestown Bridge and Newport Bridge (toll). Take the first exit after the Newport Bridge (Downtown/Scenic Newport). At the stop sign, turn right onto Farewell Street. Go to the second light and turn right onto America's Cup Avenue. Go to the third set of lights and turn right onto Long Wharf. The Gap will be on your right, just past the Marriott. The resort is located on the left at the end of the street, directly overlooking Newport Harbor.
