Location. The Mountain Shadows Resort is located within the city limits of Gatlinburg, Tenn., in a private wooded area of the city. The resort offers a tranquil atmosphere, and guests will find that they cannot get a resort closer to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The resort is within three miles of downtown, where all Gatlinburg restaurants and attractions are within easy reach.
Hotel Features. The Mountain Shadows Resort is a homey, log cabin community with the independence of private cabins in addition to friendly resort services. An outdoor pool and hot tub are complemented by thoughtful landscaping and a poolside waterfall. An on-site clubhouse is available for events booked in advance, as are meeting facilities.

Guestrooms. These log cabins offer breathtaking mountain top views, making them an ideal choice for a calm and relaxing vacation. There are a range of accommodations to choose from, starting at a studio cabin all the way to a five-bedroom, allowing the Mountain Shadows Resort to accommodate couples, families, and larger groups of friends. All the cabins are light and airy with plenty of windows for guests to enjoy the cool morning and evening breezes and the gorgeous Smoky Mountain sunsets. Every cabin comes with wooden rockers and a private hot tub on the porch, and the exteriors are often accented in stone. Unit amenities include air conditioning, gas grills on private decks, fully equipped kitchens, cable television and VCRs.

Expert Tip. The highest point in the Smoky Mountains is Clingman's Dome at 6,642 feet, which features fantastic panoramic views of the range.

Driving Directions - Mountain Shadows Resort

1625 Hidden Hills Road, Gatlinburg Tenn.
From Knoxville Tyson Airport:
Turn right onto Briscoe Drive and keep straight onto SR- 429/Air Base Road.
About two miles down, turn left onto US-129.
Take US-129 down about 3.8 miles and take the ramp onto SR-168 towards TN-168/West Governor John Sevier Highway.
Down about seven miles, turn right onto US-441.
Stay on US-441 for about 23 miles.
Bear left onto US-321/US-441.
After being on US-321 for 11.8 miles, turn left onto Hidden Hills Road.
